For more than 23 years, Boreal Yachting has run premium sailing expeditions across the Norwegian Arctic, with bases in Tromsø, Harstad/Lofoten and Svalbard. As a proud AECO partner, we operate with a deep respect for the environment and an uncompromising, safety-first culture. We are a premium Arctic brand built on real seamanship — and on a crew that takes genuine pride in doing things properly.
Open Roles
Three ways to join the crew. Each role is essential to how we operate.
Skippers
We are looking for experienced skippers who can run a yacht safely in demanding Arctic conditions while making guests feel calm and well cared for.
- Relevant commercial skipper certification (e.g. D5L or equivalent)
- Documented experience sailing in challenging coastal and high-latitude waters
- Strong seamanship and a genuine safety-first mindset
- Comfortable hosting international guests in English
- Calm, professional and a natural team player
Technicians
Our fleet depends on people who keep it running. We need hands-on technicians who can maintain and troubleshoot yachts between and during the season.
- Practical experience with marine engines, electrical and rigging systems
- Ability to diagnose and solve problems independently in the field
- Methodical, reliable and quality-focused
- Willingness to work across our Arctic bases as needed
- Working English; Norwegian is an advantage
Seasonal Base Workers
Our bases are where every voyage begins and ends. Seasonal base workers keep operations smooth — preparing yachts, supporting crew and welcoming guests.
- Practical, organised and happy with varied daily tasks
- Comfortable with provisioning, cleaning and guest handover
- Flexible availability through the operating season
- Friendly, service-minded and dependable
- Working English; an interest in sailing is a plus
