Where we sail
Boreal Yachting sails a stretch of coast within a day of its home harbour in Tromsø, at 69.6°N: the Lyngen Alps, the outer coast of Senja, the wide fjords of Vesterålen and the granite of Lofoten. Since 2008 the operator has also sailed Svalbard, 500 nautical miles further north, aboard nine Arctic-prepared vessels.
These are working sailing grounds rather than a list of sights. Most of what is worth seeing on this coast has no road to it, which is the argument for arriving by boat: you anchor where the road ends, and you stay after everyone else has left.

Glaciers, sea ice and Arctic wildlife at 78°N. We have sailed here since 2008.
