For experienced sailors, our bareboat charter opens up the entire Northern Norwegian coastline. Choose from our fleet of well-maintained yachts and chart your own course through Lofoten's dramatic peaks, Tromsø's island-dotted waters, or the remote fjords of Senja. Complete freedom, unmatched scenery, and the midnight sun as your companion.
Our bareboat fleet includes yachts from 35 to 50 feet, all equipped for Arctic conditions. This means robust heating systems, radar, AIS, chartplotter, and comprehensive safety equipment including life raft, EPIRB, and flares. We maintain our boats to the highest standards — your safety and comfort are our priority.
Chartering in Northern Norway requires solid sailing experience. The weather can change quickly, tidal currents can be strong, and some of the most beautiful anchorages require careful navigation. We ask for a minimum of a Day Skipper certificate (or equivalent experience) and a demonstrated logbook of offshore passages.
Our charterers receive a comprehensive cruising guide with GPS waypoints, harbour approach notes, and local knowledge gathered over years of Arctic sailing. We also provide a thorough briefing on local conditions, weather patterns, and emergency procedures before every charter.
The most popular charter routes are Tromsø to Lofoten (10 days), Tromsø roundtrip via Senja (7 days), and Tromsø to Lyngen and back (7 days). But with a bareboat charter, the choice is entirely yours — you can follow our suggested routes or create your own adventure.
Charter season runs from May to September. Peak season is June-August, when the midnight sun provides 24-hour daylight and the weather is at its most stable. May and September offer quieter conditions, lower prices, and the chance to see the northern lights.
