Most hotel rooms all look the same, the way of the road is set in stone, distances are long and traveling can be exhausting. Want to get the best out of your Arctic Expedition? Sit back and relax, let the nature come to you. Combining sailing with trekking is a unique way to explore the nature of the Arctic. Each day has a new destination, weather you would like to conquer the highest summits, take a one hour trip to a small top with fantastic scenery or simply take in the atmosphere of the local fisherman village. After a long day of exploring your floating home is waiting for you, letting you calm down, sit down, still enjoying the scenery and staying in the elements.

Out of an unlimited number of beautiful places, you will find below short descriptions of areas well worth visiting and very suitable for trekking.

Neverending summer days



You can hike all year round (in snow we use special snow shoes), but for mountain exploring we recommend the months from May to October.


All our skippers are commercially certified and crew undergo extensive training in order to give you a comfortable, safe and enjoyable ride.


Some locations calls for special knowledge others you can explore on your own. We either bring one guide for the whole tour or have local guides on dedicated locations, depending on itinerary and group.


Our goal is to let our guests experiencing the local culture and eat high quality local food. All meals are prepared and served on board with exceptions when come over local restaurants in the area. We can also prepare for a special diet on request.


When traveling with small groups we are able to specialize the trip to meed your specific needs and wishes.  Let us know what you want out of your stay with us and we’ll make it happen.


Bring your camera, make sure you have fully loaded batteries and plenty of store space. You will need it.

Arctic Aurora – Norway largest sail catamaran

Fountain Paijot Salina 48. On the Arctic Aurora you will find a 12 square meter salon with a 360 degrees view of the surrounding. Here you can enjoy the scenery from inside, warm and comfortable. If you want to go outside to really feel the elements you can either choose from the large sheltered seating area in the back or spending time on the well known catamaran net in front. The yacht have a fully equipped kitchen where the most delicate dishes are made. The yacht has 4 cabins with double berths and bathroom with shower facilities. It also have one crew cabins in each hulls.
